Today, science communication is demanded and promoted in all areas of research, and the world of ideas and initiatives for implementation is broad and diverse. But who do these offers actually reach?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Studies such as a large visitor structure analysis of the Leibniz Research Museums show, for example, that the proportion of visitors with a higher level of education is clearly disproportionately high. Offers for children and young people also often reach those who already receive support from their parents or school environment, for example. But how can science communication reach even more diverse target groups and become more inclusive overall? What role can and should research play in this?

These and other questions on the topic of target groups are the focus of the networking meeting of the four research centers for science communication funded by the VolkswagenFoundation, which will take place in Kiel from May 15 to May 17. To kick off the meeting, we want to open up the circle and get into conversation with all interested parties during a panel discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the podium, representatives of the centers will provide insights into their experiences in research and practice. All interested parties are cordially invited to the event on Wednesday, May 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Baukulturforum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
