Project presentation Pop-Up Science!

In the semester project Pop-Up Science!, master’s students from the Interactive Media and Spatial Strategies departments at Muthesius Academy of Art and Design have developed concepts for communicating health topics in unusual places. As part of the annual exhibition “Einblick/Ausblick”, these are on public display until July 23.

Young Waterkant Festival

The Young Waterkant Festival took place once again on June 29 at the MFG-5 site in Kiel/Friedrichsort. Here, a total of 450 students and teachers from schools all over Schleswig-Holstein exchanged ideas with startups, projects and initiatives. The focus was on the question of what our world might look like in 10 to 15 years. KielSCN was part of the event with a workshop on the topic of science communication.

Excursion to Berlin

On May 6th, part of the KielSCN team went on an excursion to Berlin together with students from the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts. Visiting various exhibitions and a design studio, the participants gathered inspiration and took back exciting ideas for their own work.

Term project Pop-Up Science!

In the term project Pop-Up Science! master students of the departments Interactive Media and Spatial Strategies at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts develop concepts for the visualization of health topics in unusual places during the summer term 2022. Thus, they will design pop-up stores for KielSCN in interdisciplinary teams as scientific exhibitions in small spaces.

Official start of KielSCN on the first of December

With the project approval in summer 2021, the starting signal was given for the new Center for Science Communication Research in Kiel. On December 1, the Kiel Science Communication Network (KielSCN) now officially started its work.
